Long Beach, Calif. – LG Motorsports earned another solid result in
Saturday's Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. The
No. 28 LG Motorsports 3 Dimensional.com / Riley C6 Corvette stayed out
of trouble and made a flawless pit stop, resulting in the team's
second consecutive top-10 finish.

Doug Peterson started the Riley Technologies-built car and drove a
trouble-free stint before pitting and handing over to team owner and
former World Challenge GT Champion Lou Gigliotti. From there,
Gigliotti drove the Kumho-shod Corvette C6 to the checkered flag,
finishing 10th the highly competitive GT2 category.

"The car runs flawless, there's no question about that," Gigliotti
said after completing the 100-minute race. "The pit stop was good. I
think we beat the [Drayson-Barwell] Aston Martin out. We're running in
the non-Michelin class, so I think two other cars beat us today. We're
gaining valuable experience and are working our way towards the future."

Peterson, a former Star Mazda Series Master's Class Champion, enjoyed
an early race battle on the historic 11-turn, 1.968-mile street
circuit in Southern California. Peterson passed a few cars before
settling in during his run.

"The Colbalt brake pads worked awesome," Peterson said. "It's a work
in progress. I really enjoyed racing with the Aston Martin and the
Porsche while I could. There's a little bit of room for improvement.
The crew did as good job. They were on the money, everything was spot-
on."

In only its third-ever Series start, LG Motorsports has shown a lot of
promise with its brand-new car and hopes to build more momentum
heading into the next round in Salt Lake City. Tire partner Kumho is
aiming to deliver a new generation of tires for next race, which will
be run on the outer course layout at Miller Motorsports Park.

"The car is not yet where it needs to be," Gigliotti said. "But maybe
we can get a little help by Utah. Then we have a bunch of weeks when
everyone else is at Le Mans to really work on the tires and go
testing. We'll do some serious testing that we haven't been able to do
yet."

Lou's son, team manager Louis, agrees: "We've got four weeks now to
come back and make the car faster. We'll get there. Everything's
overbuilt right now. We need to get it into sprint mode. Kumho is
working really hard with some new tire construction, so we're very
thankful for that. It shows promise."

The Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix presented by The Grand
and Little America Hotels is scheduled for May 16-18. SPEED Channel
will provide live coverage of the race starting at 3:00 p.m. EST on
May 18.

St. Petersburg, Florida - The No. 28 LG Motorsports / 3 Dimensional.com / Riley C6 Corvette thundered through the streets of St. Petersburg today for round two of the 2008 American Lemans Series, the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg. Coming off their debut at Sebring, the team came to St. Pete optimistic of success. That goal was met with a top ten class finish and an unscathed car.

“We finished eighth and that’s ok,” said LG Motorsports team owner and driver, Lou Gigliotti. “We need to find out where our issues are, go back to the drawing board and come back out better. Kumho has said they will have new tires for us by Utah and hopefully that will help make a difference.”

During his stint behind the wheel, the former World Challenge GT Champion escaped a potential race ending incident with a fellow GT2 car. “I had let a few cars through but I got to the point where I had to turn,” noted Gigliotti. “I am sorry that it had to happen.”

“We are definitely making headway with the car,” said co-driver Doug Peterson. “We lost the traction control during the race. On a hot greasy track that is important, the engine has so much torque, unfortunately I couldn’t use it.”

“We are getting better and more used to the environment with the fast prototype cars coming up on us,” added Peterson. “We still have some issues to resolve and we will continue to work on those. We need to get the lap times down. But, we can now race the car.”

Peterson started the race and had an early session battle with other GT2 cars.

“That was fun,” said Peterson of the on track dicing. “However, with the fast prototypes, you spend a lot of time looking in the mirror so I didn’t get to enjoy the view out front much.”

The team will now head west for the next event on the 2008 schedule, the Tequila Patron American LeMans Series at Long Beach, April 18-19. The series returns for the second straight year at the historic street circuit just south of Los Angeles in one of the most anticipated races of the season. Coverage will be on ABC at 12:30PM PDT, April 20th.

SEBRING, FL... With the waving of the green flag for today's 56th running of the American Le Mans Series 56th Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Florida Fresh, the No. 28 LG Motorsports / 3 Dimensional.com / Riley C6 Corvette made history. The LG Motorsports C6 became the first ever Chevrolet Corvette to compete in the highly competitive GT2 class of.

The early laps proved the LG Motorsports team and engineers from Riley Technologies have created a fast and smooth race car. It was only nearing the half way point of the 12 hour event, after a stellar early performance, the LS3 engine showed signs of overheating and the decision was made to pull the car behind pit wall.

"It was a spiraling effect," commented LG Motorsports team owner Lou Gigliotti. "It got hot, then it spiraled and got a little hotter. We had some dirt in the radiator which didn't help."

"Endurance racing is just that," continued Gigliotti, "it finds the weak link in everything. The car is going back to Riley and they will fix the issues. We have some three hour events coming up and I am looking forward to them. I know we will do well."

"The cars is awesome," commented driver Doug Peterson. "There are some things we need to do.We struggled a bit today, it's a big learning curve for the team. I really think the Riley built car will be very competitive in a couple of races."

The team will now prepare for the next round of the American Lemans Series at the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg April 4-5. For the second year in a row, the American Le Mans Series will hit the streets of St. Petersburg in the first of four races on a temporary street circuit along the Tampa Bay waterfront. Coverage will be live April fifth at 1:30PM EDT on ABC

WYLIE, TX-  With the preparation complete, all that is left for the No. 28 LG Motorsports / 3 Dimensional.com /  Riley C6 Corvette is a 12 hour trip around the clock. In short order the team's efforts will be put to the test when LG Motorsports takes on the world class competition in the fiercely contested American Le Mans Series GT2 division at 56th running of the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Florida Fresh, March 12-15. The race will be aired live on SPEED starting at 9:30AM EDT, March 15.

"This is really something special," remarked LG Motorsports owner, Lou Gigliotti. "Our team has enjoyed success in so many different levels of racing, but moving up to the American Le Mans Series takes LG Motorsports to an all new level. And, it comes at a perfect time in our team's history. My son Louis is taking the reins of running the team, we're debuting an exciting car with Riley Technologies.. one of the best in the business and I get to enjoy a season of running with a first class teammate in Doug Peterson. It's remarkable."

“The guys at Riley Technologies did a fantastic job,” said driver, Lou Gigliotti. “It's amazing, given the short time frame they had. They have built a solid race car we're sure is capable of winning. We're smart enough to be realistic, though and we respect not only our competition, but also the grueling event on a brutal track. Just finishing well will be an accomplishment."

"Also, we couldn't be more grateful having the support of the folks at Kumho," added Lou. "They have lots of experience with the American Le Mans Series and are committed to developing the best tire match for our car. Their knowledge of each of the tracks on our schedule is going to be a great asset to us.

Co-driving with Gigliotti in the No. 28 Corvette will be Doug Peterson. No stranger to Sebring, Peterson is optimistic of the challenge that lies ahead.

“I am ready,” offered Peterson. “The team has prepared all winter long for this and I am confident our commitment and efforts will provide us with a good result.

For the opening round at Sebring, the team will bring along Le Mans driver Marc Goossens to share in the driving duties. Goossens is pleased to once again support a Riley effort and to be a part of the maiden launch of the GT2 C6 Corvette.

Said Goossens, “I have driven many different cars over the years. It is exciting to be a part of the first race for this particular car. Knowing we will be creating history is quite thrilling. I look for good things to happen.”

The 10th season of the American Le Mans Series appropriately begins with the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida. Coverage can be seen live on SPEED starting March 15, 9:30AM EDT

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA… Kumho Tire will provide tires for the LG Motorsports/3 Dimensional Services/Riley Technology Corvette in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans Series for the 2008 season. LG Motorsports is entering the ALMS after several successful seasons racing a Corvette in the SCCA Speed World Challenge.

“We’re looking forward to working with LG Motorsports and Riley Technologies to develop tires for the GT2 Corvette,” said Rudy Consolacion, Kumho motorsports manager. “Kumho has gained a loyal following among Corvette owners thanks to the success of Corvette racers in SCCA competition on our DOT race tires. Developing a tire for the GT2 Corvette is a natural extension of our work with Corvette club racers. We’re excited about this opportunity and I think a lot of Corvette owners will be glad to hear about this new motorsports partnership among Kumho, LG Motorsports and Riley Technologies.”

“We’re very excited to make the move to the American Le Mans Series and the GT2 division,” said LG Motorsports team owner and driver Lou Gigliotti. “The field truly is world-class competition. Our partnership with Kumho is the perfect fit. Like Kumho, LG Motorsports uses racing technology to bring better products to our customers and their personal cars. "Of course, putting Kumho together with a great chassis builder like Riley Technologies is going to put LG Motorsports right in the thick of the competition,” noted Gigliotti. “I think we all share realistic expectations for the No. 28 LG Motorsports /Riley Corvette. Fortunately Kumho and Riley both provide the experience that will help us get the job done. Our first outing at Sebring should definitely be a great test for us all."

BRASELTON, GA... Lou Gigliotti, 3 time World Challenge Champion, and LGM Motorsports of Dallas Texas announced that they will be fielding a two car team of Chevrolet Corvette C6s in the GT2 Classification in the American Le Mans Series beginning in 2008.

"This is an exciting time for our team as we are anxious to step up and compete with the best road racing has to offer in the American LeMans Series," said Lou Gigliotti. "We realize that it will take a great effort to compete against the great teams that run Ferraris, Porsches and Panoz cars in GT2 but I feel that we are up to the challenge."

The Corvettes are being built by Riley Technologies and will be powered by CRD built Chevrolet engines. The cars are in the process of gaining ACO homologation in GT2.

"Riley Technologies has been involved in successful efforts in many types of cars and Riley cars are the current champions in the Daytona Prototype class," Gigliotti said. "We feel honored to be associated with Riley Technologies as we move forward into the ALMS GT2 series."

The engine program will be handled by CRD engines in Concord, NC which is also the engine supplier for the current Daytona Prototype champions. CRD built the engines for Gigliotti's Trans Am Series race wins as well as many other racing successes that Gigliotti and LG Motorsports has enjoyed.

At this juncture Lou Gigliotti and Doug Peterson, of 3 Dimensional Services (a Michigan based Rapid Prototyping Firm using 3 dimensional design technology) have been named as drivers. Negotiations are underway to fill the other available seats and the driver line up should be announced soon. The effort will include 4 regular drivers and two more world class drivers for the longer races.

"I believe that GM and Chevrolet have developed an interest in seeing the Corvette compete in the very tough GT2 competition and I believe that our team can make Corvette a competitive package!"

From Gigliotti's point of view, "Corvettes are our business and our passion. We have been racing Corvettes since the 1988 Corvette Challenge series with only a couple of years out of Chevrolet race cars. So we plan on continuing the tradition of Corvette racing and we hope to carry the banner with pride."
